Alexandre Vauthier

Alexandre Vauthier’s dresses have a perfect balance between sober and radical cuts that give back sculpure-like silhouettes for strong and sensual women.

Alexandre Vauthier was born in 1971 at Agen, France. He studied at the Esmod school and he worked at Thierry Mugler’s side since 1993 then, in 1997, he arrived at Jean Paul Gautier as Haute Couture Head Designer. The important experience made in the creative offices of two of the main french fashion designers made him more aware and confident so, in 2008, he opened his own brand Alexandre Vauthier. Since the beginning the big designer Christian Louboutin made the shoes for all his catwalks, this role has been taken lately by the shoes designer Amina Muaddi. From 2014 the Maison become the 14th member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute-Couture, entering officially in the fashion shows calendar.

Alexandre Vauthier’s collection style is based on a balance between frech style and english influences: the sculptural dresses’ silhouettes are characterized by radical and, at the same time, sober cuts, thanks to the rigorous precision of the whole. Between the iconic items of Alexandre Vauthier we find lurex dresses with asymmetric neck and bottom and long dresses with deep back necklines for a perfect sensual effect. The Haute Couture collection become soon an addiction for pop stars like Beyoncé , Rihanna and Madonna who walked many red carpet in Alexandre Vauthier’s creations.

Alexandre Vauthier represents one of the rare cases in which the designer is also and expecially a couturier who realizes dresses with an excellent construction that can translate the emotions of the women who carry them.
